An understanding of the planning system is vital on any land transaction and Diamond Estates have the experience in negotiating with the Development Control and Planning Officers of Local Authorities.

Knowledge of the relevant Authority’s Policies in force at the time is paramount, as well as an understanding of local concerns and dealing with Town and Parish Councils and Committee members.

We keep abreast of emerging Local Plans and Structure Plans which dictate future planning directives.

Our experience ensures we understand that there are many factors and influences that need to be taken into account on any planning matter, including an up-to-date knowledge of affordable housing requirements, roof taxes and tariffs, and all relevant matters on the negotiation of Section 106 Agreements with the client’s interest in mind.

We are able to advise from concept to completion on any deal whether it be selling or acquiring land from small select sites to strategic development sites.

We are fully conversant with all types of contracts as well as Option and Promotional Agreements, as well as negotiating Section 106 Agreements.
